"I wrote my first book, Run With Me, with the intention of raising awareness to the current crisis of homeless dogs and overflowing animal shelters. I wanted to share my experiences as a volunteer at Genesee County Animal Control, and to show how each shelter dog handles life in a kennel 24/7 differently. I chose my 2 favorite shelter dogs and wrote about each of their stories, which were very different. These dogs each left a huge impact on me, and I am so grateful to be able to use them in my book as a tool to help other shelter dogs in need. A portion of all proceeds from my book sales will benefit animal shelters."
