Girls Getaway Itinerary

Need a little girl time away from reality? Frankenmuth is the perfect place to catch up with your girlfriends, do some shopping, enjoy sweets and treats, and of course sip and swirl your favorite wines and spirits. Not to mention, it’s time to try something fun and different together, like making a new bracelet while sipping on fruit-infused wines or a boat cruise down the gorgeous Cass River.

For the perfect Girls Getaway, use the following itinerary to help with the planning process!

Day One

Begin your fun at the River Place Shops, Featuring over 30 boutique and specialty stores set in a charming German-style outside mall. (Allow 3.5 hours total, including Riverboat Cruise)

- Sample wine and spirits at the Grand Traverse Distillery with Black Star Farms. (Allow 20 minutes)

- Be sure to stop in Cherry Republic to sample dozens of cherry chocolates, salsas, sodas and wines! (Allow 20 minutes)

- Enjoy a spa package or nail service at the tranquil Serendipity Wellness Spa. (time allotted will vary)

- Hop aboard Frankenmuth's gorgeous Bavarian Belle Riverboat for a narrated and relaxing tour on the Cass River. The boat is in the water May thru October and runs every 1.5 hours everyday beginning at 11am. (Allow 1 hour)

Lunch at Tiffany's Wine & Spirits! One of Frankenmuth's Main Street restaurants with patio seating, giving you a great view of the beautiful flower displays in the Spring and Summer. (Allow 1.5 hours)

Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, the world's largest Christmas store. (Allow 1.5 hours)

Sample wines at the St. Julian Winery. (Allow 20 minutes)

Dinner at Prost! Wine Bar & Charcuterie. Be sure to call for a reservation if dining in on a weekend. (Allow 2 hours)

Enjoy live music and delicious late night appetizers and drinks every single night at the Lorelei Lounge.

Travel Tip: If planning a summer getaway, consider staying on a Friday night. Main Street comes alive from 6pm – 9pm with live music and street performers EVERY FRIDAY from Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

Day Two

Head to the North end of town for Breakfast at DaVinci’s Italian Restaurant. (Allow 1 hour)

Explore the downtown shops on Main Street. Be sure to stop in the Frankenmuth Visitor's Center to pick up your coupon book and ask about the gnome hunt too! (Allow 2 hours)

Take a break from shopping and relax aboard a Frankenmuth FunShips tour boat. Enjoy a wine and chocolate pairing while learning more about Frankenmuth from the gorgeous Cass River. (Allow 1 hour)

Stop into The Station 100. This charming European café is the perfect place to enjoy a meal prepared with fresh ingredients and handmade delicacies you can only find here. (Allow 1.5 hours)

Sample delicious fruit-infused wines and make a bracelet keepsake at Modern Craft & Bead Haven. Call ahead to schedule your own class!

Take a stroll through the Frankenmuth Farmer’s Market where you’ll find local produce, artisan products, and live music! The market is open Mid-May through Mid-October, Saturday Markets: 8am-2pm Wednesday Markets: 3pm-6pm. (Allow 1 hour)

Dinner at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth or Bavarian Inn Restaurant for a family-style chicken dinner. (Allow 1.5 hours)

Enjoy a night time adventure by trolley! Hop on the PedAle Trolley with your best girls and pedal down Main Street and throughout Frankenmuth. Make it into a pub crawl by stopping at your favorite bar or restaurant and don't forget to BYOB: Bring your own beverages and bartender! (Allow 2 hours)
